Escape from Hurricane Wilma, up to Atlanta - 10/26-10/29/05
The hurricane was lousy. So Mike and I went to my parents' place in Atlanta for food, shelter, and ELECTRICITY.

My car took a beating in the hurricane. The guy at the car wash the next day thought my car was in Afghanistan.

Nice view from Black Rock National Forest, near Mountain City, GA.

Me and about 19% of Jack

Mike smoked the mountain

Then relaxed near some ridiculous little waterfall. Not worth the hype, or the absurd 30 minute hike to get to it.

I call it... "Silhouette of a bear on top of a post on top of a mountain"

pretty forest

Jack smells vermin

Jack to Mike: "I don't like you like that."

More booboo waterfall

I like trees, but not enough to hug them. Especially if there's oil or minerals underneath them. Like hair after a bad haircut, they will always grow back.

The Coke museum... many people's Mecca of America

Mike + unlimited free Diet Coke = bad news for Coca-Cola shareholders

This bike was at the museum because there's no one with any self-respect who would ever drive it in public

A nifty view of Atlanta and a small plaza outside the Coke museum. Note to self: avoid museums and other tourist-traps when there's big yellow school buses outside, and hundreds of loud, rude, ill-mannered, poor third graders running around rampantly and cursing enough to shame most sailors. Somehow, this manages to detract from the museum experience.
